This 8-hour virtual program provides participants with a comprehensive overview of topics relevant to neurodivergence and neurodivergence affirming clinical practice from a non-pathologizing social justice lens. Participants will clarify terms and definitions and will learn about subjects such as masking, hyper- and hypo-sensitivity, interoception, alexithymia, autistic burnout, spoon theory, executive functioning, rejection sensitive dysphoria, pathological demand avoidance, revenge procrastination, and more.
Clinical strategies, recommended tools (for providers and for clients), and relevant research data are summarized for each associated concept.
